Aloha, and thank you for visiting my page. Upp Glass Hawaii are my glass creations. My journey with glass began over twenty years ago in the late nineties. I taught myself flamework with the use of books and videos by renown glassmaker, Milon Townsend. Like all beginning torchworkers, I made every mistake imaginable, but I knew then as I know now, that making art glass is my passion.
Over the years my love for glass has led to the life I live now, and I am thankful for it. I create and handsculpt every piece entirely myself. I do not have a team of assistants which means that orders may take a bit longer, but they are done with great care. I have a home studio that I built on our property on the Big Island of Hawaii in which all of my pieces are made.
My life in Hawaii has inspired my creations and focus on sea life, however my body of work includes local floral and fauna, birds, reptilians and soft glass plates. Just about anything I can think of, I may try to replicate in glass, keeping life interesting.
